Confused Coot

This coot looked really confused by the ice on the canal.

Ducks

As I took this picture a man asked me what the ducks were standing on. They were standing on the ice on the canal. Their weight was just enough to submerge the ice slightly.  As I took the shot the female duck started to tap the ice with her foot creating these lovely ripples.
