In Flight

I enjoy capturing images of birds flying. Until I took this shot I didn’t realize how far forward gulls move their wings while flying.

I know I said only a few days ago that it would be my last bike shot for a while but I couldn’t miss this one out. I love the splash from the bike but on the original shot Gavin was almost folding his face in two like a ‘World Gurning Champion’ to keep the water out of his eyes. Not a problem. Just a little cloning, dodging, burning and masking from another shot taken earlier and Gavin is both wet and wide eyed.

This fungus was quite large. I decided to get down to the ground to get a more interesting angle. It was a good idea until I realised I was laying on top of an ants nest. I’m still itching now.

I stood watching these two birds for a while. Despite being different species, they seemed to be very fond of each others company.

These Guinea Pigs and Rabbits are certainly enjoying their lunch. If they were any closer they would be on top of each other.

Like any African Grey Parrot, this one knows how to make the most out of an afternoon. Yes standing on one leg and shouting at passers by really adds the fun to a day.

When I was out taking photographs of Gavin on his bike the other day, I saw this butterfly sitting on a leaf.

This will probably be the last bike shot for a while.

I love the feeling of speed in this shot of Gavin riding down hill.

Another shot of Gavin on his bike. I like how the wheels have lifted off the ground.
